Tameer Bank is the largest microfinance bank in Pakistan. The Telenor Group owns 100% of the bank and launched its Easypaisa payment system in Pakistan in 2009. As of May 2015, there are 15 million active users. This means that Tameer is one of the fastest growing and most innovative banks in Pakistan. The success of Tameer Bank is a reflection of its unique approach to Islamic banking. The bank will create an Islamic Banking Division and a dedicated front-end team. The back-office services will be shared between the two banks.
